VP Digital Enablement & Innovation

This senior leader will own the digital transformation roadmap, communicate its impact across all levels of the organization, and lead a cross‑functional team of technology specialists. The role drives the digitalization and integration of data, digital, and workflow technologies that transform the company by eliminating disconnected solutions and creating an integrated environment for improved customer delivery, internal efficiency, and quality.

Key Accountabilities
  • Lead a global team of developers, engineers, and strategy planners in developing and executing Azurity’s digital transformation initiatives.
  • Establish a culture of collaboration, open communication, accountability, and timely decision‑making to enhance business objectives and support innovation.
  • Provide expertise in emerging technologies and advise on their selection and use.
  • Develop a digitalization roadmap aligned with Azurity’s strategic plan and vision in collaboration with executive leaders.
  • Ensure information systems and IT strategies align with the organization’s mission and vision.
  • Coordinate internal transformation strategy efforts with the Chief Digital & Information Officer (CDIO) and cross‑functional business leaders.
  • Drive efficiency and streamline operations, ensuring integration of internal processes and systems across products, regions, and locations.
  • Develop strategic research initiatives and IT partnerships, including establishing strategic service provider relationships.
  • Oversee budgets, expenses, and resources (CAPEX and OPEX) and make strategic financial decisions and recommendations regarding capital investment and resources.
  • Consult on technology services, performance, and data consolidation to provide efficient IT support to all users.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years of relevant experience, or equivalently, 8-10 years with an advanced degree, or 6+ years with a Ph.D.
  • At least 20 years of work experience, including 10 years in a large global organization and over 7 years of management experience.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience leveraging modern enabling technologies, information, data, and analytics.
Technical Expertise
  • Experience delivering enterprise‑scale data services and integration, with use of AI and hyperautomation capabilities.
  • Facilitate and coach global digital & technology personnel, process owners, functional owners, and project managers.
  • Knowledgeable in product ownership, project delivery, and life‑sciences business operations.
  • Drive accountability and guide global teams in adopting corporate systems and standard solutions.
  • Publish guidance and documentation to promote adoption.
  • Propose solutions based on research and synthesis; enforce operational principles aligned with executive leadership.
  • Demonstrate advanced understanding of Quality Management and ISO 9001:2008 requirements.
  • Instruction on data analysis and presentation for key stakeholders, linking analysis to business objectives.
  • Follow processes independently and adapt to limitations or exceptions.
  • Interact skillfully with executive leadership to manage expectations and communicate strategies.
Work and Delivery Experience
  • Deep understanding and practical experience with clinical research technologies (eDC, CTMS, CDMS, IVRS, eTMF, SAS, data lakes, analytics, reporting).
  • Thorough knowledge of industry standards (GaMP, GxP, SDLC, ITIL, CDISC, HL7, FHIR, SDTM).
  • Significant departmental management experience, including fiscal and personnel responsibility for a large group.
  • Expertise in formulating strategic plans and working with executive management.
  • Experience building and supporting technology that delivers business value in the pharmaceutical industry, compliant with GCP and FDA regulations.
