Overview
The Lead Systems Admin drives the design and implementation of robust, secure, and scalable server environments while mentoring team members and leading infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities- Infrastructure Design & Planning (25%) – design scalable solutions for performance and automation across OS environments.
- Cross‑Platform Leadership (20%) – lead complex deployments involving both Linux and Windows systems.
- Automation & Standardization (15%) – build reusable automation frameworks and define platform standards with Systems Engineers.
- Security Oversight (15%) – drive OS‑level compliance, audit readiness, and incident prevention.
- Team Mentorship & Development (15%) – coach mid‑level and junior administrators and conduct technical training.
- Strategic Collaboration (10%) – partner with infrastructure, security, and application teams on enterprise initiatives.
- Associate’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 7years of relevant experience in systems administration across Windows and Linux platforms.
- Expertise in both Linux (RHEL) and Windows Server environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 7years of relevant experience.
- Experience with both Linux distributions and Windows Server.
- Certifications such as Red Hat Certified Engineer, LPIC‑2, or Microsoft Certified:
Windows Server Hybrid Admin. - Advanced scripting skills in Bash, Power Shell, or Python.
- Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet).
Physical Requirements
This position typically operates in a professional office environment or hybrid/remote setup. The role requires remaining in a stationary position (seated or standing) for extended periods while working on a computer and communicating effectively in person, over the phone, and via collaboration tools.
