Overview

Manager, Solution Architects (Pre-Sales) The Manager of Solution Architects owns both the quality of Plative's pre-sales technical practice and the output of the SA team. This is an active, hands-on leadership role. You will carry your own deals while coaching a team of Solution Architects, shaping how Plative goes to market, and building AI-powered capabilities into every layer of our pre-sales motion.

You will work directly with customers, Plative's sales organization, and delivery leadership to design outcome-oriented solutions and close complex, multi-cloud engagements. You engage with middle-market and emerging-enterprise companies (250 to 2,000+ employees) across Nonprofit, Financial Services, High Tech, and Business Services, partnering with executive and technical stakeholders to build compelling solutions grounded in business impact and ROI. Plative Solution Architects are customer-facing.

This role demands an exceptional presenter, a sharp facilitator, and someone who can articulate cross-cloud value to a CFO and a Salesforce admin in the same week.

Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership
    • Hire, onboard, and develop a team of Solution Architects across pre-sales
    • Set performance standards, and proposal quality
    • Build repeatable playbooks, demo assets, and AI-assisted tooling that raise the floor for every SA on the team
    • Partner with Sales leadership on pipeline prioritization, capacity planning, and resource allocation
  • Go-to-Market
    • Work directly with Salesforce and Plative Client Partners to position the value of Plative's capabilities across the Salesforce suite of products
    • Lead discovery workshops, custom demonstrations, and technical solutioning on strategic deals
    • Contribute to proposal strategy, statement of work development, and competitive positioning
    • Represent Plative's SA practice in customer-facing settings and external events
    • Bring relevant industry context to customer conversations across Nonprofit, Financial Services, High Tech, and Business Services
  • AI and Platform Innovation
    • Build and deploy AI-assisted tools that accelerate pre-sales work: demo prep, discovery analysis, scope estimation, and proposal generation
    • Stay current on Agentforce, Anthropic, and adjacent AI tooling. Apply it practically, not theoretically
    • Identify where AI can replace manual effort in the SA motion and execute on it
  • Technical Solutioning
    • Design solutions that address complex business requirements across multiple Salesforce clouds and third-party systems
    • Define platform customizations, integration patterns, custom code requirements, and App Exchange recommendations
    • Provide guidance on build vs. buy decisions across the Salesforce stack
    • Collaborate with delivery practice leads to maintain alignment between what is sold and what is built
Required Qualifications
  • 12+ years of IT or enterprise technology experience
  • 6+ years as a Salesforce architect, with a track record of leading solution design on complex deals
  • Prior experience leading, mentoring, or managing a pre-sales or architecture team
  • Demonstrated ability to build tools, demos, or assets from scratch, not just present what exists
  • Active engagement with AI tools in a professional context, with examples to show
  • Deep knowledge of Salesforce integration patterns, web service APIs, and platform limitations
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills across executive and technical audiences
  • Experience across Salesforce core products
  • Industry experience in one or more of Plative's core verticals:
    Nonprofit, Financial Services, High Tech, or Business Services
Desired Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience with Agentforce configuration and deployment
  • Familiarity with enterprise middleware:
    Mule Soft, Workato, Boomi, or Jitterbit
  • Experience with Net Suite or other ERP platforms
  • Front-end development experience:
    React, Aura, or similar frameworks
  • Salesforce certifications at the architect level (Application Architect, System Architect, or CTA)
