The role is hybrid. The candidate must be local to the Triangle area and may work remotely most days, with occasional onsite visits to NCDOT's Wake/Durham County offices. All candidates must be local to the Triangle region of North Carolina. This position may require on-site attendance for business needs such as scheduled meetings or other task-specific activities.
NCDIT-Transportation (NCDIT-T) WEB Systems Team seeks a Front End Web Designer/Developer to support ongoing UX design and front-end development for enterprise web application and web site solutions for NCDOT and NCDMV, including SharePoint reporting, Service Now design, SAP design, and Drupal Digital Commons work.
The primary focus is to build and support accessible web UI components and ensure user experience consistency across enterprise web solutions.
Responsibilities- Create, update, and refresh web component and UI prototypes
- Build HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript in accessible ways for content management systems and enterprise products
- Work cross team with NCDIT Transportation to bring UI consistency
- Perform training sessions/webinars for NCDOT business customers on created apps, sites, and tools
- JavaScript and Type Script proficiency Required 5 Years
- Vue.js Required 3 Years
- Vite for modern build tooling Desired 3 Years
- State management with signals or reactive stores Required 4 Years
- Web performance optimization Required 3 Years
