Job Overview
The Cyber Triage and Forensics (CTF) Analyst works within EY Information Security to monitor, detect, and respond to security events, supporting the organization’s cyber defense capability.
Key Responsibilities- Perform front‑line monitoring and real‑time analysis of logs and alerts from diverse security devices to detect potential incidents.
- Collaborate across functions to investigate and respond to information security incidents, maintaining procedures for alerting and participating in investigations.
- Apply technical knowledge to identify threats, follow defined mitigation procedures, and support incident response activities.
- Assist with log analysis, correlation, and documentation of security events.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
- 1–2 years of experience in a Security Monitoring/Security Operations Center (SOC) or related environment.
- Experience investigating security events, threats, or vulnerabilities and handling incidents.
- Ability to analyze log output from a variety of security devices.
- Proficiency with intrusion detection platforms.
- Working knowledge of Windows administration (including Active Directory) and/or Linux.
- Good interpersonal, communication, and technical writing skills.
- Knowledge of information‑security principles, technologies, and practices.
- Experience with multiple security event detection platforms.
- Deep understanding of TCP/IP and networking concepts.
- Integrity and professionalism in a security‑focused environment.
- Experience navigating Windows system issues.
- Relevant security certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CISSP, GCIH, etc.).
- Competitive base salary range ($60,400–$109,600 USD nationwide; $72,500–$124,500 USD for major metro areas).
