DescriptionTwo Tech Writers required to provide assistance with design, development, and implementation of policies, procedures, and overarching training materials for IT staff related to the Software Development Life Cycle and the adoption of ITIL v3.
Business JustificationThis position is required to provide temporary assistance with design, development, and implementation of policies, procedures, and overarching training materials for Information Technology staff related to the Software Development Life Cycle and the adoption of ITIL v3.
The assignment is anticipated to take 12 months. The position will be 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday and the work will take place remotely.
Job postingThis position will support the IT Business Transformation Analyst in the design and development of policies, procedures, and overarching training for Information Technology staff. The primary focus of this position will be on the Software Development Life Cycle and the adoption of the ITIL v3 Service Life cycle’s five stages and included service management processes. In addition to developing new training materials, the position will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of existing training and updates as needed.
Position will be responsible for developing e-learning modules. The selected candidate(s) will work directly with IT staff to understand their needs and develop training materials for their use and for the onboarding of new IT staff.
- Strong writing skills and technical knowledge
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to convey information to a varied audience both technical and nontechnical
- Working knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar
- Ability to assess resources for accuracy and the ability to extract relevant data from large quantities of information
- Strong analysis skills to analyze information and use logic to address work-related issues and problems
- Strong understanding of the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making
- Strong time management skills
Basic knowledge of and ability to grasp technology related terminology and concepts - Experience developing policies, procedures, and training
- Experience using workplace e-learning tools
- Experience using Microsoft Word
- ITIL knowledge or certification
- The preferred candidate will have 7 years of experience.
- Experience using Articulate to develop workplace e-learning
