Senior Data Engineer

This is a hybrid position – candidates local to the Raleigh, NC area only. We are not considering Corp‑to‑Corp (C2C) arrangements for this position.

We are seeking a skilled mid‑level Data Engineer to focus on quality assurance, quality checking, and ETL processes. The successful candidate will manage data integrity, ensuring accurate transfers from the shared file transfer service to an S3 bucket and then into Snowflake. This data will be used by downstream applications and reporting systems that drive critical business processes.

• Implement and maintain data quality checks to ensure accuracy and reliability throughout the ETL process.
• Design, develop, and optimize ETL workflows to transfer data efficiently from file transfer services to S3 buckets and Snowflake.
• Integrate data seamlessly into the data platform, facilitating efficient consumption by downstream applications and reporting tools.
• Manage data quality issues, including inconsistencies that could cause load failures or data backouts.
• Collaborate closely with business owners, data analysts, BI teams, and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver high‑quality solutions.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and preserve data flow and integrity in pipelines, identifying issues and implementing solutions.

• Mandatory: 5 Years – Mid‑level+ experience in data engineering with an emphasis on data quality assurance and ETL processes.
• Mandatory: 5 Years – Expertise in Python, PyPI, and SQL.
• Mandatory: 5 Years – Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles related to code development, Dev Ops, data access, and fundamental cybersecurity.
• Mandatory: 5 Years – Understanding of fundamental public‑cloud capabilities.
• Mandatory: 5 Years – Proven ability to convert business needs into technical requirements.
