Data Engineer (ETL, Python, Snowflake) Hybrid | Raleigh, NC

STAFFXPERT LLC is seeking a Data Engineer on behalf of our client in Raleigh, NC. This hybrid contract opportunity is ideal for a data engineering professional who is passionate about building reliable data pipelines, ensuring data quality, and delivering scalable data solutions. You will work with modern cloud technologies to support secure data movement, transformation, and reporting while collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain robust ETL processes and data pipelines.
  • Ensure data quality, accuracy, and integrity throughout the data lifecycle.
  • Develop and optimize Python and SQL-based data processing solutions.
  • Build and maintain data solutions within the Snowflake data platform.
  • Manage secure data ingestion and movement across cloud storage and enterprise systems.
  • Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver scalable data solutions.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data workflows for performance and reliability.
  • Follow security, governance, and development best practices for data engineering and cloud environments.
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of professional experience as a Data Engineer.
  • Strong experience designing and developing ETL processes.
  • Hands-on expertise in Python, SQL, and modern data engineering practices.
  • Experience working with the Snowflake data platform.
  • Knowledge of AWS S3 and cloud-based data storage solutions.
  • Understanding of data quality frameworks and validation techniques.
  • Familiarity with secure software development, Dev Ops, and data access best practices.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in enterprise or public sector environments.
  • Familiarity with cloud-native data architectures and automation.
  • Ability to translate complex business requirements into efficient technical solutions.
