Job Descriptionaccel bi corporation is seeking a skilled Technical Specialist – Mainframe Expert to join our team in Raleigh, North Carolina. This is a full-time, onsite W2 opportunity with accel bi corporation.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience supporting enterprise mainframe environments, including z/OS, CICS, DB2, Endevor, IMS, JCL, SQL, and related middleware technologies. The specialist will provide technical guidance, configuration and release management support, performance analysis, administration, debugging, and troubleshooting.
This is an urgent requirement. Candidates must be available to work onsite and attend an in-person interview if requested.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert-level support for z/OS mainframe environments.
- Support the configuration and release management of mainframe applications using Endevor.
- Administer, troubleshoot, and debug CICS environments.
- Work with application developers and infrastructure personnel to resolve complex technical issues.
- Develop, review, and optimize SQL queries in DB2 environments.
- Evaluate complex SQL queries and recommend improvements for application performance and cost savings.
- Use DB2 tools and utilities to support database administration, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
- Support applications and processes using IMS, JCL, Elixir, CICS, and DB2.
- Assist with middleware and IBM MQ-related integration and troubleshooting.
- Provide technical guidance and recommendations concerning mainframe system functionality and interdependencies.
- Maintain technical documentation and follow established change, release, and configuration management procedures.
- At least seven years of experience supporting enterprise mainframe environments.
- Strong knowledge of the z/OS operating system, including its functionality and system interrelationships.
- Experience providing configuration management and release management support using Endevor.
- Strong knowledge of SQL programming languages, techniques, and performance optimization.
- Experience using DB2 tools and utilities.
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate and optimize complex SQL queries.
- Experience administering, troubleshooting, and debugging CICS environments.
- Hands-on experience with IMS and JCL.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with application development and infrastructure teams.
- Ability to work onsite in Raleigh, North Carolina.
- Ability to attend an in-person interview if requested.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder. Sponsorship is not available.
- Experience with Elixir.
- Experience supporting middleware technologies.
- Knowledge of IBM MQ.
- Experience supporting large-scale government, healthcare, or other regulated enterprise systems.
