Service Now Technical Specialist for HRSD/WSD, ITOM, ITSM, and SPM

Candidates must reside in NC, preferably within commuting distance to Raleigh.

There will be times when this position will be required for on-site meetings in the Raleigh area, but most of the work will be remote. The candidate will need to reside in North Carolina, preferably within commuting distance to Raleigh.

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Service Now Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, developing, and implementing Service Now applications and solutions. You will be responsible for customizing and configuring the Service Now platform to meet business needs, as well as providing ongoing support and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Development:
    Create and manage Service Now applications and modules, including form design, workflow creation, and custom scripting.
  • Configuration:
    Customize Service Now modules and applications to fit the specific needs of the business, including incident management, change management, problem management, and more.
  • Integration:
    Develop and maintain integrations between Service Now and other systems or platforms using web services, APIs, or other integration tools.
  • Troubleshooting and Support:
    Identify and resolve issues with the Service Now platform, including debugging and troubleshooting problems with scripts, workflows, or integrations.
  • Documentation:
    Develop and maintain technical documentation for Service Now configurations, customizations, and integrations.
  • Collaboration:

    Work closely with business analysts, project managers, and end-users to understand requirements and provide solutions that meet their needs.
  • Best Practices:
    Implement best practices for Service Now development and administration, including coding standards, testing procedures, and change management processes.
  • Upgrades and Maintenance:
    Participate in system upgrades and maintenance activities, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
Required/Desired Skills
  • Proven Service Now experience
    - Required - 3 Years
  • Web applications, networks, protocols and email (SMTP, POP3) - Required - 3 Years
  • Basic understanding of ITIL v3 methodologies
    - Required - 3 Years
  • Understanding of enterprise IT architecture
    - Required - 3 Years
  • Working knowledge of relational databases
    - Required - 3 Years
  • Web Technologies (XML, HTML, JAVA Script, AJAX, CSS, HTTP, etc.) - Required - 3 Years
  • Impeccable time-management and record keeping
    - Required - 5 Years
  • The ability to take complex end-user requirements to code
    - Required - 5 Years
  • A positive can-do attitude & willingness to learn
    - Required - 5 Years
  • A strong personal commitment to quality service
    - Required - 5 Years
  • The ability to work independently and with a team
    - Required - 3 Years
  • LDAP directories, such as:
