IT - Systems Administrator III
Location: Raleigh, North Carolina (Onsite)
Role Overview
We are seeking a Certified Service Now Platform Administrator / Architect with demonstrated experience in Service Now administration, configuration, and architectural support. The ideal candidate will provide day-to-day platform administration, user support, configuration management, and architectural guidance to ensure the platform effectively supports business operations and IT Service Management requirements. This role requires strong policy knowledge and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform day-to-day administration, maintenance, and operations of the Service Now platform.
- Administer users, groups, roles, ACLs, and overall platform configuration.
- Manage platform updates, patches, releases, instance clone activities, and upgrades.
- Monitor platform performance, instance health, and technical assistance requests.
- Configure and support workflows, business rules, forms, catalogs, reports, dashboards, and notifications.
- Coordinate and support integrations between Service Now and other enterprise systems.
- Provide architectural guidance for platform design, integration strategy, and long-term maintainability.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, support enhancements, and participate in solution reviews.
- Maintain platform governance, data quality, documentation, and support audit activities.
- Serve as a Service Now Subject Matter Expert (SME), providing end-user support and training.
Required Qualifications
Education: A degree from an accredited college or university in an applicable field is required. If the degree is not in an applicable field, four additional years of related experience are required.
Experience: A minimum of eight to twelve years of relevant experience is required. This includes experience with core Service Now modules (Incident, Problem, Change, Request, Knowledge, CMDB), platform administration, and managing platform updates and releases.
Technical
Skills:
Experience with Service Now configuration, workflows, business rules, and reporting. Knowledge of JavaScript, SDLC, Agile methodologies, Change Management, and MS Office Suite is required. The ability to leverage AI tools to improve productivity is also necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
- ITIL certification.
- Experience in two or more Service Now module areas, such as SPM, ITOM, Sec Ops, or CSM.
- Experience with REST API integrations, data imports/exports, Transform Maps, MID Server, and Integration Hub.
Additional Requirements
- All candidates must be a US Citizen or permanent status Green Card holder.
- Cannot have more than 6 months of travel outside the United States within the last five years, excluding military service.
