Essential Functions- Experienced-level professional job that applies a solid understanding of concepts within own professional discipline and uses knowledge of the business and key processes gained practical experience.
- Solves routine problems of moderate complexity by analyzing possible solutions using experience, judgment and precedents.
- Focuses on enhancing knowledge of Truist's processes, culture and clients.
- Impacts quality of own work and the work of others on the team.
- Actively participates in projects, including planning and execution activities; may be responsible for a project workstream from start to finish.
- Provides informal guidance to new teammates. Works under moderate supervision.
- Analyze, simplify, and automate Technology Chief Risk Officer (TCRO) processes using Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Power Platform capabilities, AI-enabled tools, and other technologies to improve operational efficiency, reporting, and governance activities.
- Design, build, and maintain automated workflows, dashboards, reporting solutions, and collaboration tools that support risk oversight, issue management, and executive reporting processes.
- Identify, evaluate, and implement artificial intelligence (AI) and generative AI use cases that enhance productivity, automate manual processes, improve reporting and analysis, and support risk management activities while adhering to applicable governance, security, and risk management requirements.
- Coordinate and track Second Line of Defense (2
LOD) oversight activities across multiple technology and cybersecurity programs, ensuring assessments, reviews, action items, and remediation activities are completed within established time frames. - Perform independent risk assessments and review and challenge activities covering technology, cybersecurity, and operational risk domains.
- Provide 2
LOD oversight support for Truist Protection Services (TPS) functions, including Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Insider Threat, Information Security Governance, and Business Information Security Office (BISO) programs. - Review policies, standards, procedures, issues, remediation plans, change initiatives, and Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs) to evaluate risk management effectiveness and identify control gaps or emerging risks.
- Draft risk observations, credible challenge documentation, and executive summaries that clearly articulate risk exposures, root causes, business impacts, and recommended actions.
- Monitor management action plans and remediation commitments to ensure risk issues are appropriately addressed and progress is tracked through resolution.
- Analyze risk, control, and program information to identify trends, dependencies, and opportunities to improve governance, oversight, and risk management practices.
- Partner with technology, cybersecurity, business, and risk management stakeholders to support effective risk identification, assessment, mitigation, and escalation.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent and 2 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Solid understanding of principles, practices, theories, and/or methodologies associated with the professional discipline (e.g., information technology, project management, finance, risk management, etc.).
- Ability to manage competing priorities.
- Ability to solve problems in straightforward situations by analyzing possible solutions using experience, judgment and precedents.
- Awareness of industry competitive landscape and the factors that differentiate Truist and other banks in the market.
- Ability to communicate complex information in straightforward situations.
