NCDIT-Transportation (NCDIT-T) Infrastructure Team is seeking a Cloud Engineer - Expert that will support the ongoing DMV NCMAX Cloud infrastructure build.
The primary focus is to help NCDIT-T understand the architecture and be a bridge between NCDIT-T and the vendors with their knowledge of Cloud infrastructure networking, storage and security.
The complexity of these responsibilities are essential to NCDIT-T to support the building of the Azure tenant from scratch so that DMV systems can be placed in the cloud. NCDIT-T and DMV have an aggressive schedule to get this done to support the DMV modernization efforts.
Role/Responsibilities:- responsible for designing and developing software solutions for cloud-based operating systems
- builds and maintains infrastructure as code (IaC) using Dev Ops methodology and versioning with a descriptive model to define and deploy infrastructure, such as networks, virtual machines, load balancers, and connection topologies.
- providing a reliable and scalable platform for developers to build and deploy applications
- responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the cloud network infrastructure including the deployment and configuration of cloud-based network solutions to ensure high performance, reliability, and security
- Thorough knowledge of Dev Ops principles and practices and tools Required 7 Years
- knowledge of cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Highly desired 7 Years
- Thorough knowledge of cloud infrastructure best practices, including security, scalability, and performance optimization Required 7 Years
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Required 7 Years
