Machine Vision Engineer

Piper Companies is seeking a Machine Vision Engineer to join an innovative organization within the agricultural technology and automation industry for an onsite permanent position based out of Raleigh, NC
. The Machine Vision Engineer will support and enhance advanced imaging and automation platforms used in high-volume production environments, helping bridge the gap between research initiatives and commercial operations across a global customer base.

• Support, troubleshoot, and optimize computer vision applications deployed on automated production equipment.
• Collaborate with engineering, R&D, and field service teams to identify and resolve vision system performance issues.
• Improve machine learning models and software functionality to increase system accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
• Analyze operational data and system outputs to recommend enhancements and support product innovation efforts.
• Assist with customer deployments, technical support activities, and validation of new vision-based capabilities in production settings.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience implementing computer vision, machine learning, or image processing solutions in real-world production environments.
• Understanding of automated equipment, industrial systems, robotics, or manufacturing technologies.
• Experience supporting vision inspection systems within industries such as pharmaceutical manufacturing, OEM equipment, industrial automation, or related environments.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and cross-functional communication skills with the ability to support both commercial and technical stakeholders.

Salary Range: $90,000-$140,000/year (USD)
