We're hiring a Service Now Developer to play a key role in the design, development, support, and optimization of Wake Med's Service Now platform. This position will focus heavily on Configuration Management Database (CMDB), Discovery, Service Mapping, and Configuration Management governance while also contributing to broader Service Now development, integrations, automation, platform enhancements, and operational support. The ideal candidate is passionate about improving data quality, streamlining processes, and delivering innovative solutions that support enterprise IT initiatives.
Whatyou'll do
- Design, develop, configure, test, implement, and maintain Service Now solutions with a focus on CMDB, Discovery, Service Mapping, and IT Operations Management (ITOM) capabilities.
- Partner with business and Information Services teams to gather requirements, develop scalable solutions, and support enterprise platform initiatives.
- Advance CMDB maturity by improving configuration data quality, supporting governance standards, and enhancing automation across the platform.
- Support Service Now platform administration, integrations, upgrades, testing, release deployments, troubleshooting, and ongoing system performance improvements.
- Provide Tier 2 technical support, manage internal projects, maintain service level agreements, and create clear documentation for solutions and processes.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Three or more years of experience supporting and developing within the Service Now platform.
- Experience with Service Now CMDB, Discovery, Service Mapping, Configuration Management, and application support.
- Service Now System Administrator Certification Required.
- Strong problem-solving, project management, communication, and customer service skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and business teams.
