If you are motivated and believe in the credit union philosophy of "People Helping People," join our team! This is a senior management leadership position responsible for enterprise application architecture, standards, patterns and data for the Credit Union. Scope includes strategic technology roadmap development, solutions architecture, data architecture, and business relationship management. Establish a vision that aligns with modern technology trends, mapping the vision to our current state, and drive transformation throughout the organization.

Work closely with numerous operational business lines, IT departments, third party vendors, and transaction gateway partners to deliver projects and architectural solutions that meet the needs of the Credit Union.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • (15 %) Strategy – Partner with key business lines/stakeholders and IT resources to develop joint strategic roadmaps that align with enterprise application architecture and patterns. Keep abreast of IT and business technology solutions available in the marketplace and how they align with the strategic roadmap of the organization. Conduct regular roadmap and capability reviews with partner IT and business units to ensure full coverage across the project portfolio.
  • (20 %) Project Design Delivery - Drives application project design delivery in a scalable model aligned with organizational priority to ensure timely delivery of project and business initiatives. Leverage industry proven reference architectural frameworks to streamline reuse of architectural patterns, solution designs, and existing enterprise platforms.
  • (10 %) Innovation – Promote and develop a culture which embraces technology innovation. Staying up to date on current trends and emerging technology solutions. Provide training opportunities for staff to ensure teams are prepared for the future. Support the modernization of technologies and solutions.
  • (20 %) Organizational Alignment – Establishing ongoing relationships to ensure balance between Information Technology and SECU business line initiatives/roadmap. Maintain a large focus on organization change management and operational readiness, including effective challenges to legacy processes and practices. Build partnerships with infrastructure and security architects to ensure consistency across technology domains.
  • (15 %) Relationship Management – Build and maintain strong vendor relationships through current and potential partnership engagements. Hold vendors accountable to defined SECU architectural standards, while maintaining professional working relationships.
  • (20 %) Management/Coaching – Provide direct people management, coaching, and mentorship to the Enterprise Architecture team. Ensure architects receive proper training, development opportunities, and effective and timely feedback.
Required Education & Experience (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities):
  • Minimum education:

    Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum 7 direct years of experience, plus an additional 1 year in a supervisory, lead or mentor role
Preferred Education & Experience (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities):
  • Preferred education:

    Bachelor’s Degree or higher
  • Preferred 2 years of experience directly managing a team of 5+ application development resources

  • Hybrid work environment with at least 2 days a week in office
  • Sitting for prolonged periods
  • Computer usage for prolonged periods
  • Telephone usage for prolonged periods
  • After hours escalation support
