Senior Network Automation Engineer, Tools Integration

• Design and deliver secure, end-to-end automation across enterprise network, observability, IT service management, and Dev Ops platforms
• Connect Python and Ansible automation with Git Lab Duo, Ansible Automation Platform, Cisco SD-WAN controllers, Catalyst Center, Splunk Cloud, Open Text NNMi, Service Now, and Thousand Eyes
• Develop reusable Python services, REST API integrations, Ansible workflows, and Git Lab CI/CD pipelines
• Convert manual processes and standalone scripts into scalable, governed automation services
• Implement automated provisioning, configuration validation, incident enrichment, compliance checks, event correlation, change execution, post-change validation, and closed-loop remediation
• Containerize Python APIs and lightweight front-end applications and deploy them to an enterprise container platform or UI
• Design, build, and implement enterprise infrastructure technology platforms and systems
• Apply automation, monitoring, and optimization techniques to ensure infrastructure availability and performance
• Manage infrastructure engineering projects and processes aligned with organizational policies and regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with network engineering, operations, platform, cybersecurity, and ITSM teams
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues affecting infrastructure performance and reliability
• Support technology compliance, standards, and governance
• Review and guide infrastructure designs, configurations, and procedures
• Provide technical guidance to lower-level technical professionals
• Develop technical solutions through deep infrastructure analysis and lead infrastructure processes

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in infrastructure engineering
• Strong knowledge of enterprise infrastructure technologies including cloud, network, database, storage, platform, computing, and middleware
• Strong Python, API, Ansible, Git Lab CI/CD, and enterprise integration experience
• Practical knowledge of LAN, WAN, WLAN, SD-WAN, telemetry, and network operations
• Proficiency in Git Lab CI/CD pipeline authoring, including multi-stage pipelines, runners, environments, and security scanning integration
• Working knowledge of Ansible, SON, YAML, and Ansible Automation Platform, including playbook authoring, inventory management, and AAP workflow templates
• Experience with OPA (Open Policy Agent) and policy-as-code patterns
• Infrastructure-as-code competency in Terraform or equivalent
• Demonstrated deployment experience in Azure and/or AWS environments
• Python/Flask and/or scripting proficiency sufficient to build integration glue, automate workflows, and produce production-grade tooling
• Experience in a regulated financial services, healthcare, or government environment
• Experience with REST APIs and webhooks
• Experience with Service Now APIs
• Experience with Splunk, Thousand Eyes, and SNMP traps
• Experience with Catalyst Center APIs, vManage APIs, and Meraki
• Knowledge of event-driven architecture
