SEO Specialist

Description

The SEO/AEO Specialist will support SEO and answer engine optimization initiatives across multiple client accounts. This hands-on role will focus on keyword research, on-page optimization, technical SEO, AI search visibility, content recommendations, and performance reporting.

+ Work Arrangement:
Local candidates preferred; willingness to work in an office two days per week.

+

Key Responsibilities Conduct keyword and topic research to support content briefs, page optimization, and site architecture recommendations.

+ Perform on-page SEO audits and implement or recommend improvements to titles, meta descriptions, headers, internal linking, and schema markup.

+ Monitor technical SEO health, including crawlability, indexation, site speed, and Core Web Vitals.

+ Track keyword rankings, organic traffic, and search visibility using Google Search Console, GA4, Ahrefs, or Semrush.

+ Monitor brand and client visibility across AI answer engines such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews.

+ Recommend content and formatting improvements to increase the likelihood of AI-generated citations and visibility.

+ Prepare client-ready SEO/AEO performance summaries and translate data into actionable insights.

+ Manage tasks, deliverables, and deadlines in Asana or similar project management tools.

+ Collaborate with strategy and account teams and participate in client or internal meetings as needed.

Requirements

+ Qualifications3-5 years of hands-on SEO experience; agency experience is a plus.

+ Proficiency with Google Search Console, Google Analytics (GA4), and at least one SEO platform.

+ Familiarity with AEO/GEO concepts and generative AI search visibility.

+ Strong understanding of keyword research, on-page optimization, technical SEO, and reporting.

+ Ability to manage multiple work streams independently and meet deadlines.

+ Strong written communication and analytical skills.

+ Detail-oriented, curious, and eager to stay current with evolving SEO and AEO best practices.
