The Technical Writer will develop, organize, and maintain clear, accurate technical documentation for a biotechnology organization. This role will work closely with scientific, engineering, quality, regulatory, and product teams to translate complex technical information into easy-to-understand documentation for both internal and external audiences.
Responsibilities
+ Create and maintain technical documents, SOPs, work instructions, reports, manuals, and other documentation.
+ Collaborate with scientists, engineers, quality, regulatory, and other subject matter experts to gather and verify information.
+ Translate complex scientific and technical concepts into clear, concise, and user-friendly content.
+ Ensure documentation is accurate, consistent, and compliant with applicable industry and regulatory standards.
+ Review and edit existing documentation for clarity, grammar, formatting, and technical accuracy.
+ Organize and maintain documentation in accordance with established version-control and document-management processes.
+ Support the development of documentation for products, processes, equipment, and laboratory procedures.
+ Assist with documentation updates resulting from process, product, or regulatory changes.
Requirements
+ Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, Communications, Life Sciences, Engineering, or a related field.
+ 2+ years of technical writing or documentation experience, preferably within biotech, pharmaceutical, medical device, or another regulated industry.
+ Strong technical writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
+ Ability to understand and communicate complex scientific or technical information.
+ Experience working with subject matter experts and cross-functional teams.
+ Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office and common document-management tools.
+ Familiarity with regulated environments, SOPs, and quality documentation is a plus.
