Foreign Language Interpreter (S)

Location:

141 Storage Road, Nash County, North Carolina. Assigned to the Department of Health and Human Services – DCFW CDSA.

Hourly Rate: $34.35 (based on education and/or years of relevant work experience).

This is a temporary position. Temporary employees who work an average of 30 or more hours per week may be eligible for health insurance coverage under the High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP). No leave or retirement benefits are offered.

• Provide face‑to‑face interpretation for Spanish‑speaking children and their families referred to the NC Infant‑Toddler Program.
• Translate documents provided to families.

• High school diploma or equivalent GED.
• Two years of experience in interpreting and translating between English and Spanish in a setting that requires knowledge of the programs or services.
• Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
