Litigation Paralegal | Asheville, Raleigh, or Wilmington, NC | Onsite (Hybrid up to 2 Days/Week After 90 Days)
A well‑established North Carolina law firm is seeking an experienced Business Litigation Paralegal to join its team in Asheville, Raleigh, or Wilmington. This role supports a broad range of business and civil litigation matters, including commercial and contract disputes, employment issues, real estate and land use matters, construction claims, insurance and professional liability, personal injury and wrongful death, tax and trusts litigation, environmental matters, and cases involving intellectual property, healthcare, aviation, maritime, and municipal entities.
Responsibilities:
• Assist attorneys with intake, organization, investigation, and management of litigation matters
• Draft and format pleadings, motions, discovery, correspondence, and memos
• Prepare and respond to discovery, including interrogatories and document requests
• Maintain case calendars, track deadlines, manage dockets, and organize files
• Support State, Federal, and appellate court filings
• Coordinate with clients, experts, opposing counsel, and court personnel
• Prepare exhibits, evidence, and trial materials
• Conduct online legal research and assist with e‑discovery tasks
Qualifications:
• Minimum 2+ years of litigation paralegal experience (State/Federal/appellate experience preferred)
• North Carolina Certified Paralegal (NCCP) strongly considered
• Strong writing, organizational, and time‑management skills
• High proficiency with MS Office, PDFs, online research tools, and e‑discovery software
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines
• High attention to detail and strong proofreading skills
• NC Notary or willingness to obtain
Details:
• Competitive compensation in the ~$50,000–$100,000 range, depending on years of experience and NCCP
• Onsite for initial 90 days then hybrid (1-2 remote days/week)
