Howard Stallings Law Firm has an immediate opening for a Paralegal to work with our Eminent Domain and Condemnation Practice. This is a full-time position and requires work on-site in the firm’s Raleigh office. Candidates must have excellent writing and interpersonal skills. This positions requires client intakes, real property research, database management, litigation support, and providing assistance to busy attorneys. We have a results-oriented culture with the highest expectations for client satisfaction.
Integrity, organizational skills, and a strong work ethic are essential.
Howard Stallings is a growing law firm with 19 attorneys and offices in Raleigh, New Bern, and Morehead City. The firm consistently delivers legal representation in business transactions, commercial and civil litigation, estate planning and litigation, personal injury, and eminent domain. Responsibilities- Preparation and filing of pleadings, motions, briefs and other court documents
- Tracking of cases and deadlines
- Intake interviews with potential clients
- Communication with clients regarding status of cases, answering client questions
- Assist in all aspects of eminent domain and condemnation litigation
- This position requires excellent organizational skills to maintain a high volume of cases, excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, accurate typing and proofreading skills, and the ability to handle several projects at one time and meet multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- The qualified candidate must be comfortable with technology and should have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, and Excel) and filing/recording procedures with the North Carolina’s e-Courts Portal and North Carolina Registers of Deeds offices (Simplifile). A working knowledge of commercial real estate transactions is a plus.
- A paralegal certificate is preferred but not required.
