Our client, a water technology provider, is seeking a Supply Planner for a 6+ month contract opportunity. This role will be remote after a one-week training period in Charlotte, NC. Candidate must be located in the Charlotte area.
Position SummaryThe Supply Planner is responsible for balancing supply and demand to ensure product availability while controlling inventory and supporting operational efficiency. This role partners closely with demand planning, procurement, manufacturing, and logistics teams to create and maintain supply plans that meet business goals.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain supply plans to support forecasted demand and service level targets.
- Monitor inventory levels and recommend adjustments to prevent shortages or excess stock.
- Collaborate with demand planning, procurement, manufacturing, and logistics teams to align supply with business needs.
- Analyze supply constraints, lead times, and capacity issues, and propose mitigation plans.
- Track and report key planning metrics, including inventory turns, service levels, and forecast adherence.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on planning accuracy, inventory optimization, and process efficiency.
- Communicate risks, constraints, and planning assumptions to cross-functional stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Business, Operations, or a related field.
- Open to recent graduates with professional workplace experience and familiarity with inventory management or supply planning concepts.
- 2–4 years of experience in supply planning, production planning, inventory planning, or a related supply chain role preferred.
- Strong Excel skills and experience working with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into clear recommendations.
- Effective communication skills and comfort working with cross-functional teams.
- APICS certification (CPIM, CSCP, or in progress).
- Experience using Tableau or Power BI for reporting and analysis.
- Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
