Overview
Holman is a family‑owned global automotive services organization. Mercedes‑Benz Raleigh offers a Parts Shipper & Receiver position that involves assessing part needs, ordering and storing parts, and managing inventory.
Responsibilities- Ascertain the type of part needed or assist the customer or technician in determining the correct part for the job at hand.
- Read catalogs and/or computer listings to obtain replacement part stock numbers, determine availability, order parts if necessary, fill orders from stock, and mark/log and store parts according to the prearranged system.
- Receive and fill telephone orders; prepare customer bills or add parts to service orders.
- Download incoming orders, enter them into the employer’s computer system, and match with parts inventory.
- Obtain parts from manufacturers, outside vendors, or other dealers as needed.
- Sort and label incoming parts and store them in inventory.
- Attend and complete required training and department meetings.
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
- Understanding of basic automotive components and systems.
- Automotive dealership service experience is a plus.
- Any automotive certifications are a plus.
- Team player focused on providing exemplary customer service.
- Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced work environment.
- Strong organizational skills and detail orientation.
- Working knowledge of computers.
- Possess a valid in‑state driver’s license.
