Service Parts Estimator

A mechanical service company is seeking a Parts Estimator to join its in-office service team. This is a direct hire opportunity for someone with a strong understanding of parts, pricing, and sourcing who works well with others. You will sit alongside the dispatch team and stay in regular contact with field technicians throughout the day. Parts Estimator Responsibilities:

- Review technician notes and service quotes to identify the correct parts for each job
- Prepare accurate parts estimates and pricing for service work
- Source parts from suppliers and supply houses, comparing availability and cost
- Track part numbers, inventory, and order status to keep jobs moving
- Communicate with technicians and internal staff by phone and in person throughout the day
- Follow up on special orders and backordered items until they are resolved
- Provide phone coverage for the dispatch team during absences or urgent situations
- Keep quote and parts records organized and up to date Parts Estimator:

- Experience in parts estimating, parts sourcing, or parts and inventory management
- Backgrounds in HVAC, supply house, auto parts, or manufacturing environments
- Familiarity with HVAC parts and terminology is a plus - HVAC dispatching experience is a plus
