Position Overview
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for driving financial strategy, optimizing operational efficiency, and partnering with stakeholders to support the company’s ambitious growth objectives. This role will be have focus on private equity partnerships, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and long-term value creation. The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record of leading finance organizations in high-growth environments and successfully executing complex transactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of the financial strategy, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and growth plans.
- Oversee all aspects of financial management, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and capital allocation.
- Serve as the primary liaison with private equity partners, lenders, and financial institutions, ensuring transparency and strong relationships.
- Lead financial due diligence, valuation, deal structuring, and integration activities for mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic investments.
- Develop and maintain financial models to assess growth opportunities, evaluate risk, and inform strategic decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements, managing internal controls and risk management processes.
- Partner closely with the CEO, while reporting to the COO, and other executives to drive operational excellence and profitability.
- Provide financial insights and reporting to the Board of Directors and private equity partners.
- Mentor and develop the finance team, fostering a high-performance, collaborative culture.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or CPA strongly preferred.
- 15+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, with at least 5 years as a CFO or senior finance executive.
- Direct experience working with private equity-owned businesses, including investor relations and board presentations.
- Proven success leading M&A transactions from deal sourcing through post-acquisition integration.
- Strong knowledge of corporate finance, capital markets, and debt/equity structures.
- Background in engineering, construction, or telecommunications industries is highly desirable.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and relationship management skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented, “work hard, play hard” environment.
