Job Description

The Community Manager manages and coordinates the team’s daily activities and resources of the property to achieve established budgeted financial and operational goals, ensuring compliance with company policies, laws, and regulations.

Essential Roles You Will Play
  • Employee champion: manage team, perform evaluations, interview, hire, orient, and train new hires.
  • Meet targeted revenue goals by increasing sales and implementing marketing and leasing strategies.
  • Budget modeling, forecasting, profitability analysis, documentation, and invoicing management.
  • Analyze market and economic trends, recommend improvements, and stay informed of changes in technology and industry standards.
  • Lease enforcement: apartment inspections, evictions, collections, notifications, and actions as outlined in lease agreements.
  • Client/Owner Management: conduct property tours, provide performance updates, meet with clients, and manage contractors and vendors.
  • Maintain property safety, cleanliness, appearance, and curb appeal; report mechanical and electrical malfunctions and incidents.
  • Resolve customer complaints and issues.
  • Monitor competitors and build relationships within the market.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Work Hours and Work Environment

Schedule:

40 hours per week.

Typical site hours of operation (may vary by site):

  • Monday – Friday: 9 am – 6 pm
  • Saturday: 10 am – 5 pm
  • Sunday: 1 pm – 5 pm
Essential Requirements
  • Must be available to work on weekends as scheduled and perform essential functions unaccompanied.
  • Work in an office environment with frequent exposure to outdoor elements that may be hazardous.
Qualifications Summary

Education and Experience

Education:

High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.

Supervisor

Experience:

1–3 years of proven ability to hire, lead, evaluate, and manage subordinates.

Management

Experience:

1–3 years of multi‑family property management.

Preferred Experience:

Property Management, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service background.

Advanced Skills

Communication, presentation, and delivery skills; ability to connect with people at all levels.

Computer Skills

Proficiency in internet, word processing, spreadsheets, and database programs; strong proficiency in property management software (preferably Entrata/Yardi or One Site).

Licenses and Certificates

Valid driver’s license.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to push, pull, lift, carry, or maneuver weights up to 20 lb independently and up to 50 lb with assistance.

Mobility Requirements

Employee is frequently required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb, stoop, and squat. Intermittently required to sit and perform keyboard work.

Travel Requirements

Routine local travel for business-related errands; non‑local travel may be required for business responsibilities.
