Our client, a leader in biotechnology is hiring a Construction Manager to join their team in Raleigh, NC
!
** This is a 1-year W2 contract with benefits**
As the Construction Manager
, you will lead large-scale capital construction initiatives within an active pharmaceutical manufacturing environment, overseeing project execution, field operations, safety compliance, and operational readiness for a $100M construction portfolio.
- Direct and oversee construction delivery teams
, including internal stakeholders and third-party construction management partners - Provide hands‑on field leadership to ensure safe execution, quality workmanship, and schedule adherence
- Collaborate with engineering, design teams, system owners, and project services to meet key construction milestones
- Manage construction scope, review change notices, and proactively resolve field execution issues
- Coordinate construction activities within an active GMP-regulated manufacturing environment
- Lead clean construction practices and ensure compliance with hygienic design and validation requirements
- Review monthly cost reports, payment applications, and change requests
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or comparable technical experience
- 10+ years managing capital project construction
, with at least 5 years leading large-scale capital builds - Strong pharmaceutical construction experience within regulated GMP environments
- Hands‑on experience with pharma and biologics packaging facilities and packaging line installations
- Knowledge of hygienic design principles, cleanroom electrical standards, and validation requirements
- Background in pharmaceutical manufacturing engineering across operations
, maintenance, or capital projects - Strong understanding of end-to-end project lifecycle execution
- Experience using project management and scheduling tools
- Willingness to travel 20–50% with extended onsite presence during active construction phases
