Operations Manager, Program / Project Manager
We are currently seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to join our team in the Raleigh, NC corporate office.
This is a full-time position.
Working Conditions:
Typical office environment. Expected travel in rural areas in and/or out of state as needed, up to 50% of the time.
The Facilities Manager handles efficient operation, maintenance, safety, construction, and renovations of Grow Early Learning facilities. Facilities Manager will lead/supervise and coordinate maintenance teams, manage vendor relationships, and oversee budgets related to facility operations, develop and implement strategic plans for facility improvements and sustainability initiatives.
Education and ExperiencePreferred: Master’s in business management or related field. Three years’ experience in facilities management, state licensing regulations for childcare centers, and building maintenance and construction codes.
Accepted: Bachelor’s in management or business-related field. Five years’ experience in facilities management, state licensing regulations for childcare centers, and building maintenance and construction codes.
Essential Functions- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure the longevity and safety of building systems and equipment.
- Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and service providers to ensure timely and cost-effective facility services.
- Follow all competitive bidding requirements, and ensure appropriate federal, state, and local laws are met during the construction or renovation process.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to building safety, environmental standards, and accessibility are followed.
- Broad knowledge of building systems, maintenance procedures, and safety regulations.
- Ensure implementation of a system for monitoring facilities, including regular maintenance and repair schedules.
- Provide supervision and technical assistance to the Maintenance Technicians.
- Ability to communicate, receive, and transfer written, oral, and electronic information effectively.
- Computer skills including Microsoft applications:
Word, Excel and Outlook. - Ability to develop proposals and construction schedules.
- Knowledge of building codes and other laws/regulations.
- Ability to work with multiple deadlines.
- Ability to establish vendor relationships to benefit Grow Early Learning.
- Work in a Team Environment.
- Valid driver’s license and maintain insurable driving record.
