Electoral Field Manager
The Field Manager supports the work of MF Professional Services, Inc. and its clients, including Mi Familia Vota and Mi Familia en Acción, by overseeing a team of canvassers conducting voter outreach and civic engagement activities within Latino communities. Working with the Civic Engagement Coordinator, State Director, and other authorized leadership, this position helps develop and implement voter-outreach strategies involving door-to-door canvassing, phone banking, text messaging, digital outreach, voter registration, voter education, and other approved direct-contact methods.
The Field Manager recruits, trains, schedules, coaches, and supervises field employees; establishes daily and weekly performance goals; monitors data quality and reporting; and ensures compliance with voter-engagement, safety, timekeeping, and organizational requirements.
The employee will perform the essential duties described below in support of MF Professional Services, Inc. and its clients, including Mi Familia Vota and Mi Familia en Acción, as assigned by MF Professional Services, Inc.

Field Strategy and Program Implementation Collaborate with the Civic Engagement Coordinator, State Director, and other authorized employees to develop and implement voter-outreach strategies. Translate campaign goals into field plans, schedules, staffing assignments, target audiences, outreach methods, and performance measures. Coordinate door-to-door canvassing, phone banking, text messaging, digital outreach, voter registration, voter education, and other approved field activities. Integrate in-person, telephone, text, and digital voter-contact activities.
Establish daily and weekly voter-contact, recruitment, registration, engagement, and mobilization goals. Monitor field implementation and make operational adjustments within delegated authority. Identify barriers, staffing needs, resource constraints, and performance gaps and communicate them to the supervisor. Ensure field activities appropriately distinguish between and align with the legally permissible work of MFV and MFA. Ensure persuasion, electoral, or other partisan activities are conducted only for an organization legally permitted to engage in those activities.
Promote accurate, respectful, culturally responsive, ethical, and non-misleading community engagement.
Field Team Supervision Supervise and support canvassers, canvass leads, and other assigned field employees. Establish clear job expectations, work schedules, shift assignments, daily goals, turf, scripts, and reporting requirements. Conduct pre-shift briefings, post-shift debriefings, team meetings, individual check-ins, and field observations. Monitor attendance, timekeeping, productivity, quality, conduct, safety, and compliance. Provide employees with regular feedback, coaching, recognition, retraining, and professional-development support.
Motivate employees to meet or exceed approved voter-contact, recruitment, registration, and engagement goals while maintaining quality. Identify employee development needs and provide appropriate coaching or escalation. Address performance, attendance, conduct, scheduling, safety, or workplace concerns in coordination with the supervisor and Human Resources. Promote a professional, inclusive, collaborative, culturally responsive, respectful, and accountable team environment. Ensure employees accurately record all time worked and receive required meal and rest periods.
Recruitment, Onboarding, and Scheduling Assess field staffing needs based on approved campaign goals, timelines, budgets, and anticipated workload. Collaborate with Human Resources and authorized hiring managers on recruitment, interview, selection, and onboarding activities. Recruit and support the hiring of qualified canvassers and other assigned field employees. Develop staff schedules, shift assignments, supervisory coverage, transportation plans, and contingency plans. Ensure new employees complete required onboarding, voter-registration, safety, data, technology, timekeeping, and job-specific training.
