RoleMechanical Quality Inspector for our Solutions Production team on 1st shift. This position is based at our Knightdale, NC facility.
The Inspector is responsible for in-process inspection duties on Production Solutions products, collaborating with the production team to ensure quality builds.
Shift Hours: 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Hourly Rate: $22.46
Responsibilities- Perform in-process mechanical inspection duties
- Inspect each product to company quality standards and guidelines per internal documentation
- Review mechanical specifications and drawings to ensure products are built correctly on the production line
- Troubleshoot deviations, implement corrective action, and propose improvements
- Prepare and maintain inspection and quality reports
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams during the inspection process and report findings
- Adhere to developed processes and seek ways to improve them
- Follow all safety rules and prioritize safety for self and others
- Perform miscellaneous mechanical duties as assigned by supervisor or management
- 1+ years of prior work experience with production & inspection in a manufacturing setting
- 1+ years of experience with torque wrenches and torque verifications
- Strong analytical skills to perform sequence of operation checks
- Experience with various inspection tools and methods
- Ability to read and work with schematic drawings and layouts
- Basic computer skills
- Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written
- Must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without the need for employer-sponsored work authorization
- 1+ years of prior work experience with production & inspection at a Siemens facility
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience with SAP and Salesforce
- Advanced knowledge of 3D models and engineering drawings
- Commitment to Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety policy and continual improvement
- Team mindset with collaborative problem-solving in mechanical builds
- Ability to cross-reference mechanical drawings with in-progress production builds
