The Electrification & Automation (EA) Business Unit offers the full range of energy distribution systems and solutions for all markets and through all sales channels. We provide reliable power distribution grids of today while investing in our Future Grids portfolio to create the power distribution grid of the future.
We are looking for a Mechanical Assembler for our LV/MV assembly Integration team. This position will be based in Knightdale, NC.
As a Mechanical Assembler you will be responsible for the building and assembling of Low and Medium Voltage Electrical Distribution Equipment, such as Switchgears, Switchboards and Breakers.

: 7:00am - 3:30pm
Hourly Rate
: $19.00
Note:
You will train at our Wendell, NC facility for the first month before moving over to the Knightdale location.
- 1+ year of experience in mechanical assembly or a related mechanical field.
- Experience working with standard hand and power tools, both pneumatic and battery operated.
- Knowledge of torque wrench and applied torque values.
- Experience with using a tape measure and other measuring devices.
- Able to identify mechanical parts and electrical components.
- Ability to occasionally lift parts or sub-assemblies weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Basic proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking.
- Applicants must be legally authorized for employment within the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Assembling sub-assemblies, parts kits, and aftermarket parts orders, including mechanical assembly of steel components.
- Recording job transactions, reading BOMs, following layouts and assembly drawings.
- Setting and using torque wrenches correctly, adhering to developed processes and seeking ways to improve.
- Adhering to Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety policies, with a commitment to continuous improvement and being a strong team player.
- Performing miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Management.
