Production Supervisor - Electro-Mechanical Assembly

SMT, Inc. is a leading precision metal fabrication and electro‑mechanical assembly manufacturer serving industrial and commercial customers. We are seeking a strong, hands‑on Production Supervisor to lead our Electro‑Mechanical Assembly department.

This role is ideal for a technically skilled manufacturing leader who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and understands the quality, safety, and productivity standards required in electrification and industrial power systems.

The Production Supervisor will oversee daily operations within the Electro‑Mechanical Assembly department, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and safety requirements are consistently met. This individual will lead a team of assemblers and technicians while driving accountability, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

This is a working leadership role requiring strong technical capability and the ability to read and interpret blueprints and wiring schematics.

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the Electro‑Mechanical Assembly team
• Ensure production schedules are met while maintaining quality and safety standards
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and electrical schematics
• Monitor workflow, productivity, and labor utilization
• Train, coach, and develop assembly technicians
• Enforce company policies and safety procedures
• Troubleshoot technical and production issues in real time
• Partner with Engineering, Quality, and Planning teams to resolve production challenges
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the department
• Maintain accurate production and performance records

• Prior experience running or supervising a production department (required)
• Experience in the electrification industry strongly preferred
• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and wiring schematics (required)
• Experience in electro‑mechanical assembly, power distribution units, industrial controls, or switch gear preferred
• Proven leadership ability in a manufacturing environment
• Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills
