** Valdese Weavers is a 100% employee-owned (ESOP) company and has been in business for over 100 years. As one of the largest woven textile mills in the world, Valdese Weavers designs and manufactures residential and contract-grade fabrics for furniture manufacturers, fabric distributors, and large retailers.

* Job Summary:
To repair machines and keep them in good running condition. Maintain standards in quality and efficiency.
Essential Functions:
Perform the following duties in accordance with ISO 9001 work instructions and standards.
* Lockout and tag out machines, when needed.
* Perform maintenance on Chenille, Novelty, and Taslan machines.
* Sharpen blade wheels, change yarn styles.
* Make gear and overfeed changes, replace worn belts, and worn roller cots for Novelty machine
* Operate binder machine for Novelty
* Make gear and roller changes, replace worn belts gears, cut wraps, and check package density for Taslan machine
* Maintains and performs preventative maintenance to multiple machines.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
* Maintain personal attendance practices to meet established company goals.
* Maintain personal work habits, which meet the demands and stresses of the job.
Safety:
* Perform all duties in a safe manner following guidelines established by Valdese Weavers.
* Report all job related injuries and safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.
* Actively participate in safety programs that identify, investigate, and correct safety hazards
* Earplugs and any other PPE as required by SDS.
* Follow the 5 S Standards.## Qualifications
Qualifications:
* Good communication skills with the ability to work well with others.
* Mechanical aptitude.
* Knowledge of how to operate each machine in the assigned department.
* Must be able to operate each piece of equipment in assigned department
