Sign Fabricator

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Sign Fabricator to join our in-house production team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for constructing and assembling custom signage for commercial, residential, and retail applications. This role requires expertise in working with various materials including aluminum, acrylic, and wood to create high-quality, durable signs that meet client specifications.

Must be able and willing to learn, follow instruction and work well in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with strict deadlines. Teamwork, great work ethic, a positive attitude and attention to detail a must.

• Competency working with machinery and raw materials is required.
• Proficiency with power tools and hand tools is required.
• Must be able to lift 50+ lbs.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in the production of 3-dimensional sign products and prototypes.
• Works well in a team environment.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Proficient math skills and the ability to calculate quantities of product on hand.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily with the production manager to maintain the workflow to meet all deadlines and stay on top of running jobs.
• Positioning, aligning, fitting, welding and fabricating parts to indicated specifications.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and work orders to ensure accurate sign production.
• The ability to utilize rulers, tapes, and measuring devices to ensure work is accurate to specifications.
• Set up and operate fabricating machines such as brakes, shears, grinders, welders, and drill presses to manufacture and assemble metal components.
• Align and fit parts according to specifications using a variety of hand and power tools.
• Maintain a clean, neat, organized installation area in the shop.
• Work with other production and installation team members toward the successful completion of all jobs.
• Carry out any additional responsibilities as owner/general manager/production manager deems necessary.
