Join a dedicated healthcare team providing compassionate nursing care in a well-established cancer center located in the Southeastern United States region. This full-time day position involves planning and delivering professional nursing care aligned with established policies and standards.
Key Responsibilities Assess patients to identify care needs and develop appropriate care plans. Organize, implement, and evaluate patient care effectively. Maintain a safe and supportive environment for patients and staff. Serve as charge nurse when assigned, overseeing unit operations. Document patient care accurately and comprehensively. Administer medications as prescribed by physicians. Recognize and respond promptly to life-threatening situations. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality care.
Participate actively in cost containment and accurate patient service billing. Adapt care to meet age-specific physiological, psychosocial, and spiritual needs. Support patients' cultural and spiritual practices within medical guidelines.
Education and Experience Associate Degree in Nursing required;
Bachelor's Degree preferred. Current Registered Nurse licensure in a Compact state or the Southeastern U.S. region. No prior work experience required; new graduates encouraged to apply.
Skills and Abilities
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written. Effective organizational and leadership capabilities. Knowledge of developmental, physiological, psychosocial, and spiritual needs of diverse patient populations.
Physical Requirements Ability to communicate clearly and observe patient conditions. Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting. Potential exposure to blood or infectious materials.
