Rex is a private, not-for-profit hospital affiliated with the UNC Health Care System. The hospital consists of 660 beds including a heart center, family birth center, cancer center, convalescent care center, adult care center, and wellness center. The main campus has approximately 40 anesthetizing sites including 24 main operating rooms, 6 procedure rooms, 3 OB suites, 6 procedure rooms and a variety of out of department locations (EP, TAVRs, Hybrid MRI).

Keith began his career in the US Army, serving as a paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne Division and serving in Iraq during Operation Desert Storm. He attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, earning a bachelor's degree in public health (biostatistics and epidemiology) and a bachelor's degree in nursing. After working at Duke University Medical Center and UNC Health, he earned a master's degree in Nurse Anesthesia from UNC-Greensboro.
He has been with the practice for 11 years and has been the Chief CRNA at Rex for 4 years. Keith and his wife Priscila live in Durham, NC, where they raised their four children, one of whom is still n not at work, Keith enjoys cycling, hiking, and travel.
Rex Hospital is a 609-bed metropolitan hospital and serves the flourishing and lively Raleigh, NC community. The Anesthesia Department is composed of approximately 30 anesthesiologists, 80+ CRNAs and has an affiliation with the UNC Greensboro School of Nurse Anesthesia. We practice in a care team model in a collegial atmosphere that allows us to effectively care for our patients in 25 subspecialties, including General, Ortho, Neuro, EP, Vascular, Thoracic, Cardiac, Bariatrics, Endoscopy, OB, Ophthalmology, and limited pediatrics.

- Pre‑anesthesia assessment
- Obtains and/or verifies patient consent
- Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient
- Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
- Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition
- Performance of clinical intervention as needed
- Current license as a registered professional nurse
- Graduation from an accredited program of nurse anesthesia education
- Certified or recertified by the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists
