Pay: $38–$39 per hour

26-week assignment (extension possible)

Schedule:

Monday–Friday, 8:15am–5:15pm

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is hiring an Infectious Disease Registered Nurse to support a public health department in Raleigh, NC. This role focuses on communicable disease prevention, surveillance, and patient care within a community health setting.

• Conduct infectious disease assessments, triage, and follow-up
• Perform specimen collection and communicable disease testing
• Assist with case investigations, surveillance, and outbreak response
• Provide patient education on disease prevention and treatment adherence
• Administer medications based on standing orders
• Document care and findings accurately in public health systems
• Collaborate with providers, epidemiologists, and public health teams
• Support related programs such as TB, immunizations, or communicable disease clinics

• Active North Carolina RN license
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience
• Background or interest in infectious disease or public health
• Strong assessment, education, and documentation skills
• Ability to work with diverse populations
