Located in Raleigh, North Carolina, Holly Hill Hospital is an inpatient and outpatient psychiatric and addictive disease health system for patients of all ages. For over 40-years, Holly Hill Hospital has been working tirelessly to improve the lives of those in our community experiencing psychiatric and addictive disorders. When Holly Hill first opened, we had just 58-beds. Today, our health system includes two campuses and serves more than 8,000 patients annually with 296-licensed beds.

In 2018, we opened our new, 64-bed Specialty Hospital at our South Campus, and we are excited to announce that a new Patriot Support Program, supporting Veterans and Active‑Duty military is coming soon to our South Adult Campus! Much more available online at:  The Chief Nursing Officer is a key member of the Holly Hill Leadership Team who will integrate and coordinate a patient centric nursing strategy with a keen focus on patient care;

ensuring that delivery of high‑quality and cost‑effective health care is consistent with the mission, vision, and values of Universal Health Services and in accordance with government regulation, licensing and accreditation requirements. The CNO participates in the hospital’s strategic planning and contributes to the achievement of institutional goals and objectives. The Chief Nursing Officer will support over 200 FTEs and focus on 5 key areas:

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • Licensure:
    Current license or permit to practice professional nursing in the state of NC.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing from a CCNE accredited nursing program;
    Master of Science in Nursing is strongly preferred within first year in role.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of behavioral health nursing clinical practices and management.
  • Extensive knowledge of principles and practices relevant to nursing and patient care activities.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of effective management and supervisory practices. Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
  • Five or more years of progressive nursing management experience in behavioral health setting preferred.
  • Ability to plan, direct, and monitor others’ activities with demonstrated leadership abilities that contribute to a positive work environment.
