About the PositionLocum Jobs Online is working with Comp Health to find a qualified Oncology NP in Burke County, North Carolina, 28655! A facility in Burke County, NC is looking for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for its Hematology/Oncology opening. This position is Monday through Friday day shift. In this role, you will work with a diverse range of hematology and oncology patients, including those with benign hematology conditions such as anemia or clotting disorders.
A key responsibility is preparing patients for chemotherapy treatments by assessing their readiness and providing necessary education. You will ensure patients understand their treatment plans, potential side effects, and what to expect during their chemotherapy journey, particularly when treatments are new or changing.
- Work with a diverse range of hematology and oncology patients, including those with benign hematology conditions such as anemia or clotting disorders.
- Prepare patients for chemotherapy treatments by assessing their readiness and providing necessary education.
- Ensure patients understand their treatment plans, potential side effects, and what to expect during their chemotherapy journey, particularly when treatments are new or changing.
- Full‑time, permanent position.
- NP or PA.
- Experience in hematology/oncology required.
- NC licensure or eligibility.
