We are hiring a Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant for an urgent care opportunity around Raleigh, NC to float to several sites. This role is ideal for clinicians who enjoy autonomy, efficient workflow, and the opportunity to care for patients across a wide range of same-day needs without the burden of a weekend‑heavy schedule.
Responsibilities- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients in an urgent care setting
- Manage a broad range of episodic and low‑acuity conditions
- Order and interpret basic diagnostic testing as needed
- Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans appropriately
- Educate patients on follow-up care, treatment plans, and next steps
- Document visits accurately and efficiently in the EMR
- Collaborate with clinical staff and other providers to support smooth patient flow and quality care
- Active or eligible North Carolina licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- Prior experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, family medicine, internal medicine, or a related outpatient setting preferred
- Strong clinical judgment and comfort with same-day episodic care
- Able to work independently while collaborating with a broader team
- Strong communication, efficiency, and patient-focused care skills
- Comfortable managing a fast‑paced outpatient workflow
