Description of WorkThe Registered Nurse position will join the Outpatient Opioid Treatment Center and assist the admissions team, referrals and triage. The position is responsible for managing daily clinical care and providing medication dosing for patients in accordance with physician’s orders. It will assist in all areas of patient care, perform labs, EKGs, and other approved tests. Collaboration with the interdisciplinary team and participation in the treatment planning process are essential.
Knowledge,Skills and Abilities
(KSAs)
- Knowledge of professional principles, practices and theory of nursing in an outpatient setting.
- Knowledge of laws, rules and regulations governing the provision of nursing care.
- Knowledge of medications and the physiological effect of medications.
- Ability to independently plan, implement and evaluate patients.
- Ability to manage staff in an outpatient setting and provide feedback on care, treatment and services.
- Assist admissions team, referrals, and triage.
- Manage daily clinical care and medication dosing in accordance with physician orders.
- Perform labs, EKGs, and approved tests.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team.
- Participate in treatment planning.
- Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of North Carolina.
This position is designated as mandatory and must report or stay over during adverse weather events.
