Registered Nurse (RN) – ICU
Sign‑On Bonus: $15,000 for day shift with a 2-year commitment.
Schedule: 3x12s day shift 7:00–19:00. Holidays and weekends required.
Haywood Regional Medical Center, part of Lifepoint Health, invites experienced RNs to join a 12‑bed ICU with a 1:2 nurse‑to‑patient ratio, telehealth intensivist support, and diverse critical‑care diagnoses. The role involves comprehensive patient assessments, specialized treatments, monitoring, documentation, interdisciplinary care planning, and quality‑improvement activities.
Responsibilities- Accurately perform patient assessments and identify patient needs.
- Identify and initiate appropriate nursing interventions.
- Provide care appropriate to the patient’s condition and age.
- Perform timely and appropriate documentation of medical necessity in the medical record.
- Complete and revise the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
- Perform timely and accurate quality‑improvement assessments.

- Current North Carolina or compact state Registered Nurse license and an associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school.
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire.

- One year of experience preferred.
- Critical‑thinking skills, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment.
