Overview
Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Cath Lab Day Shift
Location: Raleigh, NC
Position SummaryThis dynamic position is responsible for assisting the cardiologist in diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral vascular interventions on adult patients. The registered nurse will be able to circulate, monitor, and/or scrub for diagnostic and interventional procedures, as well as assist with some pre- and post-care. This position is weekdays only and located within Duke Raleigh Hospital.
Responsibilities- Assist the cardiologist in diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral vascular procedures
- Circulate, monitor, and/or scrub for procedures
- Provide pre- and post-care support
- Communicate effectively with patients and the care team
Minimum Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
Certification/Licensure: Must hold an active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or a compact state.
BLS certification required upon hire
ACLS certification required within 90 days of hire
Minimum
Work Experience:
A minimum of two years of critical care or cardiac catheterization experience is required.
Experience working with hemodynamic waveforms and vasoactive medications
Proficiency in reading and interpreting EKGs and recognizing dysrhythmias is essential
