Travel Nurse RN - Progressive Care Unit - in Charlotte, NC

Pay Information

$1,568 to $1,728 per week

Registered Nurse – Progressive Care Unit (PCU RN) – Travel assignment starting 12/8/2025 in Charlotte, North Carolina. Work 12 night shifts with available days. Must float within the region, covering the following hospitals:
Pineville, Anson, Union, Union West, Central Division (CMC Main, CMC Mercy, Levine Children’s Hospital). The unit has 36 beds with an average census of 36.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Provide direct patient care for PCU patients, including COPD, pulmonary diseases, heart failure, cardiac arrhythmias, renal failure, sepsis, ETOH/CIWA, IVDA, tracheostomies, mechanical ventilation, high‑flow nasal cannula, BIPAP/CPAP, hypothermia regulation, and titratable IV drips.
• Perform cardiac rhythm interpretation, chest tube management, trach care, blood product transfusion, wound care, and dressing changes.
• Coordinate with the support staff: CNA, virtual nursing, phlebotomy, IV/VAT team, dedicated pharmacist, case managers, RTs, nurse educator, hospitalist, intensivist, and staff nurse supervisors.
• Utilize technology and equipment such as EPIC EMR, Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, and Phillips monitors.
• Adhere to patient ratios of 1 RN:3‑4 patients and 1 CNA:9 patients.

Floating responsibilities require willingness to work at any listed facility within the region as needed.

• Registered Nurse (RN) with at least 2 years PCU experience.
• Valid RN license and current BLS and ACLS certifications; other certifications relevant to the role are preferred.
• Social Security Number and Date of Birth must be provided.
• Minimum of one reference within the last 12 months; also a skills checklist within the last 12 months.
• Permanent address must be located more than 50 miles from the assigned unit.
