Overview
Responsible for leading the department to implement cost-effective and state-of-the-art learning technologies for the nursing staff at Wake Med Health & Hospitals in accordance with accepted nursing education principles and guidelines. Using needs assessments, strategic plan, regulatory requirements, and nursing involvement, this position sets priorities and develops a plan to deliver nursing education to meet the nursing goals of the system.
Responsibilities include:

- nursing continuing education
- American Heart Association Programming
- Nursing Orientation process
- student computer programs training
- specific nursing leadership programs
National Certification in Nursing Required
