Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)/Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)/Physician Assistant with addiction medicine experience to join our team. The clinician will provide comprehensive psychiatric care, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment, to patients with a variety of mental health conditions in a residential treatment setting in addition to history and physicals and medical follow-up.
This role involves collaborating with our team of psychiatrists and other team members.
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments for patients.
- Complete history and physicals
- Medical follow-up
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans.
- Prescribe and manage psychopharmacological treatments.
- Provide psychotherapy and counseling to patients.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated care.
- Maintain detailed and accurate patient records.
- Participate in case conferences, treatment planning meetings, and other collaborative efforts.
- Stay current with advancements in psychiatric care and participate in continuing education activities.
- Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Two years of experience working as a PMHNP/FNP/PA-C is preferred.
- Board Certification as PMHNP/FNP/PA-C.
- Behavioral health or addiction treatment experience preferred.
- Active and unrestricted APRN license in North Carolina.
- DEA registration and prescriptive authority in North Carolina.
- Strong clinical skills in the assessment and treatment of psychiatric conditions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care.
- This is an in-person position. Must be within commuting distance of Raleigh, North Carolina.
