We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Clinical Educator to support the ongoing professional development of clinical staff in the specialties of Gastroenterology, Pulmonary, and Infectious Disease. The candidate should be familiar with adult learning principles and instructional design. Have experience with electronic medical records and learning management systems. Certification in clinical education or specialty area (e.g., CNE, CCRN, CIC) is a plus.

This role will focus on designing, implementing, and evaluating educational programs that enhance clinical competencies, promote evidence-based practice, and improve patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver specialty-specific education for nursing and allied health professionals.
- Collaborate with department leaders and physicians to identify learning needs and create targeted training plans.
- Support onboarding and orientation of new staff within the gastroenterology, pulmonary, and infectious disease service lines.
- Facilitate simulation-based learning, case reviews, and continuing education sessions.
- Monitor clinical performance and provide coaching or remediation as needed.
- Stay current with clinical guidelines, research, and innovations in the three specialties.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and interdisciplinary committees.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) from a state-accredited school of professional nursing.
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina.
Professional Experience Requirements:
Three (3) years of experience in tertiary care with two (2) years clinical experience in the assigned specialty.
