Clinical Nurse II – 7 HV Cardiac Medicine Unit

Are you an experienced cardiac or acute care nurse looking to grow your expertise in a high-acuity intermediate care environment? Join the 7 HV Cardiac Medicine Intermediate Care Unit
, located on the 7th floor of the Heart and Vascular Hospital
.

This 24-bed intermediate care unit provides care to adult and geriatric patients with complex cardiac conditions and multiple co-morbidities. Our team thrives in a fast-paced environment where collaboration, clinical excellence, and compassionate patient care are at the center of everything we do.

Unit Overview

The 7 HV Cardiac Medicine Unit provides intermediate-level care for patients with:

  • Heart failure
  • Dysrhythmias
  • Myocardial infarctions
  • Pre- and post-cardiac and vascular procedures
  • Medical patients with significant cardiac histories and complex co-morbidities

Each patient room is equipped with GE bedside monitors and in-room computers
, supporting advanced patient monitoring and real-time documentation.

Care is delivered through a collaborative interdisciplinary team model
, including Clinical Nurses, APPs, physicians, pharmacists, care managers, chaplains, patient care technicians, unit secretaries, and specialized telemetry technicians in the Telemetry Command Center
, providing continuous rhythm surveillance and clinical support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive, evidence-based nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with complex cardiac conditions
  • Assess, monitor, and manage patient status, including cardiac rhythms, hemodynamics, and response to treatment
  • Care for patients before and after cardiac and vascular procedures, as well as those admitted with medical cardiac conditions
  • Safely administer medications and treatments, including cardiac drips and therapies, in accordance with policies and protocols
  • Collaborate with physicians,
