American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular Surgical ICU (CSICU) position requiring at least one year of recent CSICU experience and NC or compact RN licensure.

• 12-bed Cardiovascular Surgical ICU (CSICU) providing postoperative care for cardiac surgery, vascular surgery, and intensive care patients
• Patient population ranges from young adults to geriatric patients
• Staffing ratio of 1:1 for direct open heart recovery and 1:2 for general ICU patients
• 12-hour day shifts from 7:00am to 7:00pm, three days per week
• Every other weekend (EOW) and every other holiday (EOH) required
• No on-call responsibilities

• Active RN license in North Carolina or compact license
• BLS certification (AHA or ARC) required
• ACLS certification required per department compliance standards
• Minimum one year of recent CSICU experience required
• Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited nursing school required
• BSN or MSN preferred

• Provides direct nursing care to critically ill cardiovascular and ICU patients using the nursing process
• Collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• Participates in patient and family education, discharge planning, and continuity of care efforts
• Engages in ongoing professional development and unit performance improvement activities
• Promotes a safe, clean, and secure hospital environment
